NorCal Tech Solutions, Inc. was founded in 2021. Our founder, Silas Thomas, has worked in technology since 1996 and spent more than 16 years inside managed service providers before starting the company, so the firm is young but the experience behind it is not.

Where are you located?

Our primary office is in Sacramento, which serves the entire Sacramento region. We also maintain offices in San Francisco's Marina District and in San Carlos on the Peninsula. See our contact page for details.

We're built for small businesses of roughly 5 to 100 employees — big enough to depend on technology, usually too small to justify a full internal IT department. We also work alongside internal IT staff through co-managed arrangements.

NorCal Tech Solutions was founded in 2021, but the idea behind it took decades to form. Our founder, Silas Thomas, has been in technology since 1996 and spent more than 16 years working inside managed service providers — enough time to see, from the inside, both what great IT service looks like and every way it goes wrong: the MSPs that oversell and under-staff, the ticket queues where small clients wait behind big ones, the "unlimited support" plans hedged with fine print.

The company was built to be the MSP he'd want to hire: honest scoping, documented environments, proactive work that prevents tickets instead of billing for them, and communication in plain English. No pricing games, no jargon walls, no dead-end phone trees.
