UniFi Network Design, Deployment & Support

Ubiquiti UniFi is a full networking stack — gateways, switches, WiFi, cameras, door access, and VoIP — managed from one interface, and it's a platform we specialize in end to end. We design, deploy, and support complete UniFi networks for Sacramento-region businesses: fast WiFi, proper segmentation, and a network you can actually see into, without enterprise licensing costs.

A network that's designed, not just plugged in

Most network problems we're called to fix aren't hardware failures — they're design failures. Access points in the wrong places, no VLANs, one flat network where guests, cameras, and servers all share the same space, a gateway that's undersized for the office. UniFi is powerful, but only when it's designed properly. That's the difference specialists make.

We start with how your business actually works — where people sit, what has to stay online, where the dead spots are — and design the network around it.

What we design and support

  • UniFi OS gateways — Dream Machine, UXG, and Cloud Gateway routing, firewall, and threat management sized to your bandwidth
  • Managed switching — PoE switches for APs, cameras, and phones, with VLANs and link aggregation
  • WiFi 6 / WiFi 7 — access point placement from a real site survey, tuned channels and power, seamless roaming
  • VLAN segmentation & firewall rules — guest, staff, IoT, camera, voice, and management traffic properly separated, reinforcing your cybersecurity posture
  • UniFi Protect — camera systems with local recording and no per-camera cloud fees
  • UniFi Access & Talk — door access control and VoIP where they fit
  • Multi-site & VPN — site-to-site links, remote-access VPN, and single-pane management across locations
  • Monitoring & updates — controller and device monitoring with tested firmware rollouts, as part of managed IT services

How it fits with the rest of your IT

UniFi networking is the specialist deep end of our broader network and WiFi practice. It also underpins other work: reliable VLANs and switching are what make a Proxmox cluster and its shared storage perform, and clean segmentation is a prerequisite for real security and compliance.

Who it's for

Growing Sacramento businesses that have outgrown consumer or builder-grade gear, offices plagued by WiFi dead spots and slow connections, multi-site operations that need their locations linked, and any business that wants cameras, access control, and networking under one well-run system. It's a strong fit for construction firms with a field-and-office split and manufacturing shops that need segmented, reliable networks.

Frequently asked questions

What does the full UniFi stack include?
The UniFi stack covers the whole network: a UniFi OS gateway (Dream Machine / UXG / Cloud Gateway) for routing and firewall, managed switches with PoE, WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 access points, and the optional Protect (cameras), Access (door control), and Talk (VoIP) systems — all managed from one interface. We design, install, and support the entire stack as a single, coherent network.
Do you only set it up, or do you manage it long-term?
Both. Many clients bring us in to design and deploy a UniFi network cleanly the first time; others hand us an existing UniFi site to take over, clean up, and manage. Ongoing, we monitor controllers and devices, apply firmware updates on a tested schedule, and respond when something needs attention.
Can you segment guest, staff, IoT, and voice traffic?
Yes — proper VLAN segmentation is central to how we build UniFi networks. We separate guest WiFi, staff devices, IoT and cameras, VoIP, and management onto their own VLANs with firewall rules between them, so a compromised smart TV or camera can't reach your servers. This is a core part of network security done right.
Do you support multi-site and remote offices?
Yes. We link offices and remote sites with UniFi site-to-site VPN or Site Magic, manage multiple sites from a single controller, and give staff secure remote access via Teleport/WireGuard VPN. It's a strong fit for businesses with a main office plus satellite locations or job sites.
We already have UniFi gear but the WiFi is flaky — can you fix it?
Usually, yes. Flaky UniFi WiFi is often a design problem — AP placement, channel and power settings, VLAN or DHCP misconfiguration, or an overloaded gateway — not bad hardware. We do a proper site survey, correct the design, and tune it so coverage and roaming actually work.
Why UniFi instead of enterprise brands like Cisco or Meraki?
For small and mid-sized businesses, UniFi delivers enterprise capabilities — VLANs, PoE, controller management, deep visibility — without per-device subscription licensing or enterprise pricing. Because we specialize in it, you get a network that's powerful and genuinely maintainable.
